An indigene of Umuezuo Naze, Owerri North Local Area of Imo State,

Mr Akujiobi Nzeh who  parades himself as the Chairman of Umuakagu/ Umulolo family meeting has been told to clear allegations of bribery and betrayal against the community by allegedly collecting the sum Six Million Naira as crop compensation from a land developer reportedly working some government officials to takeover their land in a questionable manner.

Sources from the village said Mr Akujiobi Nzeh, who continuously parades himself as the Chairman of Umuakagu/ Umulolo family meeting with others who  claimed to be executive Umuakagu/Umulolo family meeting allegedly collected the sum of six million naira  as compensation for Uhu Elu Umuakagu Ancestral Land that has never be acquired by any government.

According to reports on forceful Takeover of  Uhu Elu Umuakagu ancestral land, concerned stakeholders have always fingered Akujiobi Nzeh as a key player who reportedly work or connive with the real enemies of the community as well as few political appointees in Shared Prosperity Administration, who are silently and mischievously working to cause problem between the masses and the government.

Recall that in September, 2025 when Eugene Onyekwere popularly known as Professor and Emma Dike,  Special Adviser to former commissioner of Industry, Mines and Solid Minerals, Hon Ernest Iheanyi Ibejiako and a developer Marybas came to Uhu Elu Umuakagu ancestral land with earth moving machines demolishing property and destroying farms.

In the words of Mr Ugochukwu Ogochukwu, "let it be known to the general public that Akujiobi Nzeh is not the chairman of Umuakagu/ Umulolo family meeting because we are not convinced that he is man of integrity we not also convinced that he is qualified to act as such. Section 5B(iv)of the constitution of Umuezuo family meeting states that any executive of the association must have a wife who must be a financial member of his kindred women association, Umuezuo women association and Aladinma Ndom Naze Association.

From reports about happenings in the community, the development has erupted a controversy in Umuezuo with allegations of betrayal and bribery involving over the sum of six million Naira as crop compensation.

Recall that the former Commissioner of Industry, Mines and Solid Minerals, Rt. Hon. Ernest Ibejiako, has been accused of being involved in alleged land grabbing, with some alleging that he is using his position to cover up the activities of the developer, Marybas Consulting Firm.

The villagers have expressed outrage over the alleged actions of Nzeh, stating that he has betrayed their trust and is working against the interests of the community.

It was alleged that Nzeh has been working with some government officials and the developer to allegedly grab the land, and  has been using his position to intimidate and silence opposing and decent voices in the community.

Displeased with what happened, the community has demanded that Nzeh produce evidence of the acquisition papers as claim by his alleged cohorts who claimed that the land was  acquired and compensation paid during Mbakwe era with evidential documents of payment to the affected families.

From reports, the incident has sparked widespread outrage in the community, with many calling for sanction  against Nzeh and the developer.

The situation has also raised concerns about the security of land and property in the state, with many calling for greater transparency and accountability in land dealings.

Stakeholders and other community leaders have urged Imo State Government to investigate the allegations and take action against those involved in the alleged land grabbing.

Information reveals that the controversy has also led to questions about the legitimacy of Nzeh's claim to be the Chairman of Umuakagu/Umulolo family meeting, with some alleging that he is not recognized by the community.

The community has vowed to fight against the alleged land grabbing, and has called on the government to protect their rights and interests as it is their only option to address their challenges for population explosion
