GM Protea Hotel preaches love at Odu Nekede, stresses need to embrace culture

 



The General Manager of Protea Hotel Maureen-ion Maduka has called on the people of  Nekede Ancient kingdom, other communities and tribes to  always embrace  their culture with love and peace.



Speaking during the recently celebrated New Yam,( Odu Nekede) Festival,   she explained that cultural festival  signifies the identity of a people and their lifestyle, explaining that a neglected culture, is a neglected identity.



The General Manager of Protea Hotel, seized the opportunity to call on corperate bodies to always create a harmonious working relationship with their host community and ensure they make meaningful impact in their lives.


Her words; "we are here to support our host community, my message to the people is to embrace their culture, is part of their heritage and identity.


Love humanity wherever you are and be at peace with people, nothing is too big to sacrifice for peace to reign. 


The need to work in  harmony with your host community  and do whatever you can in your capacity to make impact in their lives through meaningful social responsibility activities cannot be neglected.


She rated Iri iji Festival of Nekede Ancient kingdom high and admonished them to always pay special attention to their festival, stating that is part of the things that make them unique in the society.



She commended the community for their friendly disposition and promised  that Protea will not relent in their corporate social responsibility to the community.
