Uhu elu Umuakagu ancestral land , Umuezuo Naze: Time to shun it over fake document, signs of Land grabbing

.

The essence of this piece is to educate, inform and sensitise the  public on the obvious need to shun Land purchase in Uhu Elu, Umuakagu Ancestral Land in Umuezuo Naze, Owerri North LGA to avoid  looming trouble and waste of resources in a questionable Land acquisition that reportedly lack legitimate document and proven evidence of government acquisition from relevant government agencies like Ministry of Land.

Right from day one when former Commissioner for Industry,Mines and Solid Minerals, Hon. Ernest Ibejiako visited Uhu Elu to inform the villagers that it was acquired by Mbakwe administration for Industrial Park up to the time Marybas surfaced as the developer, the question and  people's demand have always been "show us  Mbakwe Acquisition papers for Uhu Elu Umuakagu, Umuezuo Naze, communities or names of families that received compensation, a simple, honest legitimate request Nwandaa  failed to provide.

It is worthy to note that no government official or the developer Marybas have been able to provide proven documented evidence to show that the Administration of  former, Imo State Governor, Sam Mbakwe acquired it., rather it has always been  one questionable move to another.

He  jumped into the area in a commando manner, cleared the land, destroy crops, fence and valuable property with police intimidation. When the media raised alarm,  our listening governor redeployed him.

Unfortunately; the  developer who is working with him even after his redeployment has not given up.

One pertinent demand the media has always  requested on issues surrounding Uhu Elu Ancestral Land, Umuakagu Umuezuo Naze, from the former Commissioner of Industry Mines and Solid Minerals to the developer, Marybas is to publish documented evidence of  Acquisition of Uhu Elu  Umuakagu Ancestral Land  as acquired by Mbakwe Administration, names of kindred and families that received compensation if there is any. No body has done this even at the point of filling this report.

The media in line with their social responsibility of informing, educating and sensitising the public is raising this alarm  for the public to beware and shun Land purchase from any developer or his cronies in Uhu Elu Umuakagu Ancestral Land, Umuezuo Naze, is  because of signs of Land grabbing. Government does not acquire Land with mouths, it does with documents through due process.

From available reports the Developer has reportedly moved into parceling and is purportedly selling land without proven acquisition documents from ministry of lands as original ministry saddled with such duty.

The question they should ask the developer is this; Mbakwe acquired it but you paid crop compensation of six million. If government has acquired it during Mbakwe era why did they not pay compensation when it was acquired?

Verbal claim about acquisition of that portion of Land  is not enough because government does not acquire land with verbal statement.

It's risky to buy Land from any developer in that area without evidence of  Mbakwe Acquisition Papers

Initially they claim that Mbakwe acquired it for industrial parks now they are allegedly selling  it to individuals for residential building,

The truth is that Ministry of industry does not acquired Land, it is the exclusive duty of Ministry Land to do so.

Nwandaa failed to show us Mbakwe document, since Nwadaa left Maribas has not show us any document. What they should know is  that many of us have the original master plan, we cannot be deceived.

Recall that the current Commissioner in a public announcement  ordered for suspension of work pending verification of controversial issues and reports but while the public announcement was made, the developer and his cohorts still disobeyed and proceeded with works at Uhu Elu,Umuakagu Ancestral.

THE PUBLIC SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THIS VITAL POINT, FROM THE TIME OF NWANDAA TILL NOW THE DEVELOPER HAS NOT SHOWN THE PUBLIC THE MBAKWE MASTER PLAN FOR ACQUIRING THE PORTION OF LAND, COMMUNITIES OR FAMILIES THAT  RECEIVED COMPENSATION. HIS SILENCE ON THIS AND INABILITY TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AS A DEVELOPER, SHOWS THE ILLEGITIMACY OF HIS ACTION, WITHOUT THIS VITAL DOCUMENT IS VERY RISKY TO BUY LAND FROM THE SAID  DEVELOPER, IT IS A WASTE OF RESOURCES THAT WILL SURELY END IN HEART BREAK

Findings by media observers, the current Commissioner of Industry is not aware of sharp practices by the developer. As a priest in the temple of God and Minister in the temple of Justice, he is been careful to avoid things that will stain his hard earned reputation. When he made public announcement to stop work in the area pending verification of controversial issues surrounding it, the developer silently and craftily  proceeded, simply because he has support of the former commissioner,  the SA Industry and the man he uses for his divide and rule in the community, Mr Akujuobi Nzeh. It was this same Mr Nzeh that reportedly collected and distributed Six Million Naira the developer brought. Mr Akujiobi Nzeh allegedly called some people to  collect fifteen thousand naira only as crop compensation.

What is happening at Uhu Elu Umuakagu is a  glorified land gambling and grabbing,

This Uhuelu they are allegely selling to people as plot 30 does not belong to Ministry of Industry and has not been acquired. Plot 21 and Plot 22 ;have been acquired but  this particular Uhu Elu Umuakagu Ancestral Land  they claim is plot 30 has not been acquired.

The  media has not failed to warn the public to be cautious when dealing with land transactions in the area, as there are signs of illegitimacy, lack of clear documentation and red flags.

The alleged sale of land in Uhuelu Umuakagu has continue  raise concerns about the integrity of the land acquisition process. The media and  indigenous people of Umuakagu Umuezuo Naze  are demanding answers about the involvement of government agencies and the legitimacy of the titles being offered.

The situation and its controversy has also highlighted the importance of public awareness in land transactions because of the manner the developer is  exploiting loopholes in the system  to push through their plans.

The  media is keenly watching the development and is  prepared to ensure justice and fairness.

From all indications, the controversy surrounding the alleged sale of land in Uhuelu Umuakagu Umuezuo Naze is a Clarion call to  government to ensure protection of rights of landowners
