Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023 General Election,Mr Peter Obi has denied reports circulating in public domain with photos of him meeting with the US President Donald Trump and the chairman of the NURTW, MC Oluomo
In a post on his X handle, Obi clarified that his politics is focused on addressing Nigeria's real problems, including insecurity, poverty, education, healthcare, and the rule of law. He emphasized that his approach is grounded in integrity, accountability, and transparency, rather than seeking praise or cheap publicity.

clarified that reports suggesting that he recently met with the president of the United States , Donald Trump and the chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, are fake.
He reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability in governance, emphasising that his politics is not about seeking cheap publicity but about confronting the real problems of Nigeria and working towards solutions grounded in integrity, accountability, and Trasperency.
His comment on the report has started generating reactions from some of his supporters, who fingered the APC supporters in the claim.
Obi made it clear that if he had met with Trump and MC Oluomo, he would have shared the details on his personal social media page, stating clearly that his politics had never been private and that he was not seeking cheap publicity
The 2027 presidential hopeful said his focus remains on tackling insecurity, strengthening the rule of law, improving education and healthcare, and lifting citizens out of poverty. He emphasized that his politics is strictly focused on addressing the plight of suffering Nigerians.
Obi admonished Nigerians and the international community about the dangers of disinformation, urging people to verify information before sharing and resist propaganda that undermines truth and Integrity
One of his supporters, Alexander who reacted in comment section lambasted APC, Saying; "the desperation of the APC and their cohorts is laughable. Imagine relying on Photoshop and fake stories just to stay relevant. What a shame. Instead of solving erosion, hunger, and insecurity, they’re busy cutting and pasting pictures like jobless internet fraudsters".
"Felix said " this is what happens when a party has nothing left to offer: propaganda becomes their only achievement. Nigerians are not fooled; no amount of fake photos can cover the reality of empty stomachs and broken promises. APC, keep entertaining yourselves with doctored images. The people are awake, and your bags of rice won’t save you forever."
