Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission, Imo ENTRACO, has notified the general public about its moves to tackle the menace of Environmental Nuisance,noise pollution and drastically reduce its effects against human health.
In a press release signed by the General Manager of ENTRACO, Hon.Anthony Anyaehie and made available to the public, ENTRACO notified the general public about the disasterous effects of Environmental nuisance and noise pollution, emanating from illegal and unauthorized activities of some advertisement agencies and directed them to obtain a clearance permit from the
Abatement/ Environmental Nuisance and Debt Recovery Unit of ENTRACO for their operation.
Notifying the General public about readines to address the menace of environmental nuisance and noise pollution, ENTRACO made it clear that the obvious need to address illegal and unathourised activities of some advertisement Agencies, social groups, companies, organizations can no longer be neglected as environmental nuisance and noise pollution are dangerous to human health.
ENTRACO called on all marketers, corporate organisations, advertisement agencies and individuals,who wish to advertise or promote their business to do the needful by visiting their office for more information, enlightenment and sensitization and clearance in line with the extant laws of the land.
Deriving its strength and powers from Imo ENTRACO Law N0:3 of 2020 as amended, ENTRACO warned that any person organization,groups or company found guilty of noise pollution or any other form of environmental nuisance on the streets,roads, business premiss within the state will be penalised and prosecuted in line with the extant laws of the land
The management of ENTRACO under Hon. Anyaehie, states it's readiness to do the needful by Sensitising the general public about disasterous effects of noise pollution,environmental nuisance and unauthorized activities that abuse, jeopardize the environment,disturb the peace of the people and endanger human life.
Cautioning business owner and corporate bodies on the need for proactive and preventive measures, the GM sounded it loud and clear that compliance is absolutely imperative and advisable as defaulters will be subjected to the provisions of sections; 22A, 22B, 22C, 22D,22E,22F and 22G of I of Imo ENTRACO law N0:3 of 2020 as amended.
He finally admonished, business owners, marketers, corporate organisations, advertisement agencies and individuals to visit
office of Imo ENTRACO located at Kilometer 2 Aba Road to obtain clearance certificate and permit for their operations in the state from their Abatement/ Environmental Nuisance and Debt Recovery Unit in order to avoid the penalty and legal consequences of Environmental nuisance and noise pollution.
