It was an atmosphere of jubilation for women of Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State, as a humanist par Excellence, Benjamin Roy Okafor doled out palliatives to them to ameliorate the effects hardship.
Distributing the palliatives through his Benjamin Roy Okafor Foundation, at the council headquarters of the LGA in Isinweke, he said he was motivated by the need to cushion the effects of bitting economy at this critical time the people are passing through a lot of challenges.
There were distributions of food items, cash and other gift items to over fifty Ihitte/Uboma women by BR OF to various recipients of this most uncommon gesture.
The philanthropic who noted that mothers are passing through a lot of challenges to support their husband in child training and family feeding, explained that life is all about giving helping hands, wiping away tears and giving hope to the hopeless.
He noted that the best time to help people is at the height of economic hardship and depressions , such conditions have led to lost of lives, malnutrition, drop out from school and other ugly experiences too numerous to mention.
According to him, his Benjamin Roy Okafor Foundation, took up the responsibility of alleviating pains experienced by the people because of his passion for humanity. "I always triggered by compassion and the need to be an agent of solution to humanity" he said.
The founder of BROF who has always used the foundation to reach out to people in need, offered to ensure that over fifty families, through women are supported with food items.
Women in droves showered encomiums on the impacts of BROF in their lives and further thanked God for the founder for making him a blessing to humanity.
The philanthropist , promised to continue to do more for Ihitte/Uboma people by touching lives and putting smiles on their faces in his capacity as a philanthropist.
