OCDA begins sealing of buildings without approval
Owerri Capital Development. Authority has commenced sealing of buildings in the capital Territory erected without compliance to OCDA Edit.
The OCDA General Manager, Engr. Franklin Nzewodo, made the intentions of the agency to seal off buildings without approval known to the general public in Owerri
He explained that in total compliance to the extant laws of the land, on building construction, OCDA as an agency charged with the task of building approvals will always ensure compliance to standard and will not sweep anything under the carpet in executing it's legitimate duties.
He urged owners of building properties within the capital Territory to visit Verification and Revalidation Department of OCDA to ratifications and proper documentations in line with OCDA Edit.
The General Manager who appeared determined to execute his duty and ensure sanity, appealed to the owners of buildings in Owerri to verify and revalidate their building documents in their own interest.
Stating that there is no room for those who like cutting corners or operates with disdain to OCDA Edit, he made it clear that there is obvious need for regularization of papers, as OCDA under his headship is prepared to discharge its duties without fear or favour.
Engr.Nzewodo, frowned at the level people build without respect to OCDA Edit and necessary documentations, stating that illegitimate actions carried in the past will legitimately uncovered and addressed in line with ethical standard and extant laws of the land.
He urged the general public not to hesitate to visit the Verification and Revalidation Department of OCDA to regularise their papers as it is imperative to do the needful before is too late.
