Speaking during a media chat in Owerri, the Cohen Gadol Timothy Chidera Obichere, the General Overseer of Christ Sabbath Mission International said it was declared a season of supernatural freedom in line with what God did for the children of Israel when he delivered them from slavery in Egypt.
He explained that the Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread are closely connected and is a Jewish festival that commemorate the deliverance Israelites from slavery in Egypt, as recorded in the Bible especially in the book of Exodus, chapters 12–13.
He said, it commemorates the night when God "passed over" the homes of the Israelites during the tenth plague in Egypt (the death of the firstborn), sparing them as they marked their doorposts with the blood of a lamb. This he said begins on the 14th-21st day of the Hebrew month of Nisan (usually March–April in the Gregorian calendar) corresponding 11th - 19th April, 2025.
According to him, "the theme TOTAL FREEDOM was curled from the significance of the Passover which entails the freedom of the Israelites from the Egyptians
According to him, by the hand of God, the people will be well positioned to gain total freedom from bondage of misfortune, poverty, wasted efforts, untimely death, failure and all negative vices.
Cohen Gadol Obichere, described the Feast as a special season, all round liberation, a moment divine intervention, supernatural solution designed by God to wipe away tears , set the captives and visit everybody at the power packed program
He viewed it as a time to examine the heart, repent of wrongdoing, and draw closer to God and totally yield to him, adding that anyone who fails to do the above won't be a partaker of the blessings of Elohim.
The Cohen of Christ Sabbath Mission said the feast will be filled with Praise and worship in adoration to God who has all it takes to break every prison door and set the captives free.
The General Overseer of Christ Sabbath Mission who assured that the program will be word loaded also disclose there will be free medical outreach, social activities and lots of side attraction to make it a memorable one.
His words; "beloved people of God, as we gather to celebrate the sacred Feast of Passover, let our hearts be filled with joy and holy reverence. This is not merely a remembrance of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt—it is a powerful reminder that our God is still the same Deliverer, yesterday, today, and forevermore.
Do not let fear rule your heart in this times. Let the leaven of anxiety, doubt, sin, and guilt be swept out of your life. This is a season of cleansing, a season of new beginnings.
He assured that the same God who parted the Red Sea is still in the business of making a way where there is no way , even when it physically and practically appears impossible.
He prayed that t this Passover of assurance and remembrance that will certainly prove that God cannot forgot his own, a Passover of monumental freedom for those redeemed by the blood.
The General Overseer of Christ Sabbath Mission who declared that God is prepared to set his people apart for glory at the program, assured that nothing will stop the deliverance of anyone who tries to come .
