In line with media right of reply for balanced reports, the management of Dailynewsalert.net hereby has taken a corrective step to state the views of Chinyere Lilian Amuchienwa, on events surrounding her marriage with Donatus Ifeanyichukwu Amuchienwa, issues about his death and court order to exhume his body months after he was buried.
Speaking to the publisher, Comrade Chuks Nwokeji, Mrs Chinyere Lilian Amuchienwa made it clear that she was legally married and was never divorced by her late husband.
According to her, "those describing her as a divorced woman should provide, show a publication or court order of her divorce, saying; if she was divorced, "why didn't Donatus Ifeanyichukwu Amuchienwa stop me from bearing Amuchienwa while he was alive. To send a woman packing is not an easy journey. Let them show evidence of my divorce or where the publication was made in newspaper by Late Donatus Ifeanyichukwu Amuchienwa."u
She furrther back her claims about the legitimacy of her marriage with documents she made available to this online newspaper. The burial was carried out in disrespect to a court order and in the absence of major children of the deceased. Nobody is working with sympathy. I have two legitimate kids with that man.
She called on bloggers to always investigate properly, saying, "You should have known and investigated properly. Go to the Court registry to find out about the case for proper and detailed information. Dona doesn't have capacity to stop me. I will answer Amuchienwa till I die."
Calling for a thorough investigation into the matter before going public, she said, " Go to my family in Arondiziogu Ideato North LGA and make your findings. I condemn in totality the allegations and insinuations in the publication".
She disclosed that there was a court order on October 17th not to bury, noting that it was unfair and unacceptable to her that the burial took place without involving other family members.
"I don't know the Chief Judge and cannot deceive the court, is totally wrong to state or insinuate something is going on between me and the traditional ruler, what a tabul, she said, looking at the report from her own perspective, She said her surname remains Amuchienwa by marriage and has remained so even when Late Donatus Ifeanyichukwu Amuchienwa was alive.
Mrs Lilian Chinyere Amuchienwa, described the report as nonsensical, unbalanced without value and unacceptable to her, saying, "there was an order not to bury on October 17th, they went ahead and buried. Now there is also an order to exhume. Have you asked yourself why all these court orders? Court deal with evidences and not sentiments."
She accused the management of dailynewsalert.net of not investigating properly, saying, "You didn't investigate anything. Go for details from other sources, not listening to one side. If I open my mouth, my statement will shock the whole country."
She questioned why nobody had written about the court order given on December 5th, saying, "Remember the order was not given in a bedroom. From December 5th, this order was given. Have you asked why nobody has written about it?"
She emphasized that exhuming a body is not easy, saying, "There must be a season. I was the one who went to the Bishop and carried the report to him to expose everything."
She insisted that court decisions are based on evidence, not sentiments, saying, "Court is not verbal. You have to provide evidence."
