In what appears like a good understanding of time, situations, scenarios and challenges of insecurity in Imo State, the support and solution provided by Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Chief Security Officer, Imo State Government House, Shaba Adamu has maximised the opportunity presented by the Solidarity March embarked by Asaa Autonomous Community to support efforts and impacts State Governor to security agencies in the state and the good works of Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa, the Commander of the Anti-Kidnapping Department (Tiger Base Unit) of the Nigeria Police Force, Imo State Command, to inform educate and enlighten them and entire general public about the good efforts of Recovery , Reconstruction and Rehabilitation (3R) Administration of Governor Uzodimma to support security agencies in the state for optimum performance.
The Chief Security Officer, Imo State Government House has truly shown that it takes a well informed mind, ideal and experienced public figure to carry out sound information, sensitization and enlightenment of the general public on government, activities, achievements programs and policies.
That recent Solidarity March provided a unique opportunity to educate the general public on the inputs and impacts of various supports Shared Prosperity Administration of Governor Uzodimma has made in motivating the Security Agents with necessary Supports for enhanced performance.
Without mincing words, the Chief Security Officer Imo State Government House, Shaba Adamu, who received the people on a solidarity march in support of the good works of Governor Uzodimma and Tiger Base, did very well to perfectly maximize the opportunity to educate, sensitise and enlighten the people on a solidarity March as a well as the general public on significant supports and contributions of the governor to security agents in the state for enhancement of their operations.
From the manner, the Chief Security Officer, Imo State Government House precisely and concisely addressed the people of Asaa Autonomous Community during the solidarity March with insights into all the contributions of the state governor to security agencies in the state, in a simple short but loaded manner, he showed how deep he understands the need to inform the general public about the tireless efforts of the governor in protection of lives property.
According to the CSO, 'the Governor's support has been instrumental in reducing insecurity in Imo State. He Highligted some of the significant supports of the governor to security agents to include;- Provision of security vehicles. Essential gadget- Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) vehicles,
provision of necessary resources to security agents and other forms of encouragements that have enhanced their activities.
Still describing the level of attention Governor Uzodimma pays to issues concerning security of lives and property, he made it clear that he fulky supports Security Initiatives, participate and promote security and safety in Imo communities.
These supports he said, have helped security agencies to effectively combat crimes, including kidnapping, maintaining peace and stability in the state, it has led to significant reduction in insecurity in Imo State, and the people of Asaa Autonomous Community have benefited from the efforts of Tiger Base, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Imo State Police Command.
There is no doubt that supporting our security agencies is top priority for the Shared Prosperity Administration in Imo State.
From all indications, the governor shows respect and appreciation for the works they do. Indeed Imo State has a governor who delights in maintaining peace, progress and stability for the betterment of the state . He explained that the Governor has always created and provided a platform for sharing intelligence reports, maximising it, cross fertilization of ideas and joint actions, these have helped security agents in preventive and proactive action towards security of lives and property.
The solidarity march, which took place at the Imo State Government House and the Imo State Police Headquarters, was indeed a show of support for the good works done by the state government in addressing insecurity.
It was a display of a true sense of appreciation to the efforts of Tiger Base and the state government in reducing kidnapping and other crimes in the area.
It was an opportunity for the community to register their undiluted support to Tiger Base and its leader, ACP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa, as the people of Asaa expressed strong believe that the presence of Tiger Base has brought relative calmness to the community and strengthened protection of lives and property.
It could be recalled that the community has benefited from the unit's efforts, including the rescue of a kidnapped woman unhurt without paying a ransom.
It was a well attended solidarity march, massively attended by various stakeholders, including community leaders, youth groups, and women with their placards. Some of Placards, reads, "No Tiger Base, no security in Asaa", "we want Tiger Base", "Tiger base is doing a good work' " Those blackmailing Tiger Base are the real criminals "
The Chief Security Officer promised to convey the community's appreciation to the Governor, It was a massively attended solidarity march that ended with a vote of confidence to Head of Tiger Base and the state government in their efforts to maintain peace and stability in Imo State.
The event was marked by solidarity songs and speeches, all in support of Tiger Base and the state government for ameliorating insecurity in the state.
